#tell_us - Austrian Court of Audit invites citizens to participate once more

1.7.2019 - Until 28 July 2019, citizens can send their audit suggestions to the Austrian Court of Audit (ACA).

For the third time already, the ACA invites the Austrian citizens to submit their suggestions for audit topics. In the past year, the ACA received more than 250 audit suggestions. About a quarter of the audits planned for 2019 include the suggestions of citizens. The campaign to promote citizen participation forms part of the ACA's three-year audit priority: "quality of public–sector service provision; with a particular focus on the benefit for citizens, cost optimization and a modern–day delivery of tasks".

Citizens can submit their audit suggestions to the ACA in the following three ways:

The suggestions received via the #zeigenSieauf (#tell_us) campaign will be accepted from 1 July to 28 July.

As regards the selection of audit topics, the following criteria are relevant for the auditors:

Risk potential
Level of expenditure
Change of key indicators
Current events
Special public interest
Preventive effect
