The Austrian Road Safety Fund; Follow-up Audit

In September 2017, the Austrian Court of Audit (ACA) carried out a follow-up audit at the Federal Ministry for Transport, Innovation and Technology with regard to the recommendations it had issued in the framework of its preceding audit of “The Austrian Road Safety Fund” (volume Federation 2015/11). The ACA found that, of twelve audited recommendations, the ministry had implemented six fully, two partially and two not at all. As regards two recommendations, no case has yet arisen in which they could have been applied.
